In 2014 Goodrow Productions were commissioned to create a 7 minute film to be played during a stage performance of a devised piece called “At The Crossroads” written by ex Poet Laureate of Staffordshire Mal Dewhirst for Fired Up Theatre.
It was performed at Lichfield Garrick and was part funded by BBC. Stu asked me to edit it (and he pitched in as well). It was great to see it on a big screen behind the actors and was my first go at film editing. All good fun!……well not the subject matter.
A short while afterwards, I remixed an unreleased Plutonik track called “Not The Girl” to create this atmospheric but futuristic piece about decisions leading to being Forsaken. It features the words “Eli Eli Lama Sabachthani” which means “My God, My God, why has thou forsaken me?” and comes from the opening words of Psalm 22… Fitting for the moment our Christ breathes his last.
